The Dapper Gent

The Dapper Gent is a two-player local multiplayer game made for the GMTK Game Jam in 48 hours. The game involves one player controlling the Mouse and another controlling the Keyboard, working against each other to control the same character on screen. The players themselves essentially are the two minds of the Gent, one who wants to escape and one who wants to die.

Controls: This is a two-player adventure. The Mouse Player and the Keyboard Player.

The Mouse Player will be controlling the mouse. The Keyboard Player will be controlling the keyboard.

The Keyboard Player can run and jump. The Mouse Player can aim and shoot a gun.

You will be controlling a dapper gent in two minds.

One half wants him to live, the other half wants him to die.

The Keyboard Player must reach the Destination without getting shot. Use WSAD to move and Space to jump. Each Level has a Destination which shows the way out of the place you are stuck in. Reach the Destination without getting shot and you win!

The Mouse Player must kill the Dapper Gent. Use the mouse pointer to aim and Left Click to Shoot. Be careful, you can only shoot once every three seconds.

Each Level has Bouncy surfaces and Regular surfaces. If the bullet or the gent hits a bouncy surface, it will bounce! Bullets disappear when they hit Regular surfaces.

Bouncy surfaces are usually colourful and bright! Smooth and rocky surfaces are usually Regular.
