On The Road

On The Road is a one-page roleplaying game that combines elements of improvised theatre with character archetypes and scenarios common in adventure games. 

You and your friends are adventurers sharing a meal on the road, taking a brief respite from the dangers and thrills of whatever quest you are on. Perhaps you are spacefarers, perhaps orcs in a fantasy land or perhaps vampire hunters. Use the archetypes and scenarios as the base and build your story atop. 

Archetypes are basic personality building blocks that act as guidelines to your character. Scenarios lay out the larger scene you are in. This provides some structure within which you will converse in-character with your friends and discover the story you are in.
